5 Ways to Save Money On Your Next Florida Beach Vacation

Summertime is officially underway, which means we are in full swing here on the Emerald Coast. In a post-covid world, times are a little tougher, but that doesn’t mean that your vacation needs to suffer. Today we’re going to give you our top 5 ways to save money on your next florida beach vacation, so you can still have fun in the sun with your friends and family while saving a little money at the same time.

Rent a condo

Some people when they think of budget-friendly travel they head straight to their favorite hotel website. We’re here to tell you that booking a hotel may seem like a good option at first, I mean who doesn’t love a complimentary breakfast? But, when you rent a condo, one of the main attractions to our guests is having a full-size kitchen packed with all of the essentials you would find at home. Giving you the opportunity to eat out less, and eating in more saving you money in the process.

Avoid traveling during peak season

We know that most kids are out of school between May and the beginning of August, but one of our insider tips is to check out your vacation rental companies and do a little price-checking before you plan your dates. Peak season typically runs Memorial Day to Labor Day, with the rates dropping post-summer, and going down again in the fall, and then again during snowbird season. If you can wait a little longer, you will be able to save a little bit more.

Book Early

One of our best tips is to book your stay early. We offer our guests the opportunity to book their stay up to a year in advance, when you book your stay early you lock In the property rates at the time of purchase, protecting you before the rates go up. Not only is this a way to save money, but it is also a way to able to keep coming back to your favorite Emerald Coast property year after year!

Bring Essentials from home

One of the easiest ways to save money on your next Florida vacation is to pack ahead and bring your essentials from home. We know it might seem a little more difficult at first, but once you know what essentials you need for your beach vacation, it makes adding a couple of things to your suitcases a little bit easier. Not sure what essentials you need? Check out our beach vacation essentials checklist. Bringing the important stuff from home saves you money because you won’t have to pick up those extra items from the store when you get here!

Become your beach photographer

We know you want you and the family to get dressed in your khaki pants with white shirts and head on over to the beach for that once-a-year beach photography session. While hiring a professional photographer for your beach photos is the easiest route to take, a money-saving tidbit is to become your own beach photographer. Your smartphone has amazing camera qualities, and just bringing a phone stand or creating your own and setting your phone on a timer is a quick and easy way to capture those candid moments for you and the family to remember forever.

We know that everyone looks forward to their once or twice-a-year vacation to the Emerald Coast, and while times are tough at the moment, it is okay to save a few bucks, while still letting the family legacy live on.
