Things To Do At Night in Destin Florida
We know you came to Destin to relax and sit on the beach, but once the sun sets, there’s still time for fun! With a variety of nightlife activities for both kids and adults, you’re sure to find something here that’s fun for the whole family. Check out our list of things to do at night in Destin Florida to start planning your trip today.
Fudpuckers Teen Night: Having teenagers can be a struggle when they’re too young for a lot of activities but too old for others. Fudpuckers solved this by offering a fun, safe, alcohol-free, and smoke-free spot for teenagers aged 14-17 to come dance, hang out, and win prizes all summer long. Cost is $15 at the door, or upgrade to their VIP Package for an extra $15, which includes a variety of extra goodies. Monster energy drinks and soda will be served, with prizes being given away all night long. This event happens at Fudpuckers in Destin every Thursday night from 10 pm-1 am, and in Fort Walton Beach every Tuesday from 9 pm-12 am.
Fireworks: These are fun for the whole family! Many locations in Destin offer fireworks on different nights, so you can find the one that best fits your schedule. In Baytowne, fireworks will go off every Boomin’ Tuesday after the lawn games and inflatables end around 9:15 pm. Or find them on the Harbor every Thursday at 9 pm, followed by a Fire Dancing show. Or, if you’re out towards Okaloosa Island, you can find them every Wednesday and Sunday beginning at 9 pm, overlooking the pier at the Boardwalk. Cost is free to see these, and we encourage you to bring the whole family!
Free Beach Bonfire: A fun way to experience something new on vacation that you can’t always do at home, is to come by Royal Palm Grille every Friday and Monday for their FREE Beach Bonfires! Fire starts at sunset, with chairs available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a Beach Bar on the water where you can order food, drinks, or smores for the bonfire. All ages are welcome, no RSVP required!
Concert Series: There is no shortage of live music down on the coast during the summer! Many of our small communities offer their own free live concert series, starting with Baytowne every Wednesday night at 7 pm on the main stage. If you miss that, you can hit the Pop n Shop Concert Series at the Market Shops every Monday from 5 pm-8 pm, with live music in the gazebo along with shopping specials at the local merchants. You can also hit every Saturday on the Harbor from 7 pm-9 pm with the Rock the Docks concert series, or hit up Gulf Place Amphitheater out on 30A every Sunday from 5 pm-8 pm for more live music.
Dueling Pianos: If you are looking for a night out and a little entertainment then you need to check out Rum Runners in The Village of Baytowne Wharf where they have the dueling pianos every Thursday – Saturday from 7 pm to midnight. The Palms Bistro in Destin also has dueling pianos every Thursday – Saturday from 8 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. It really is a rocking good time and a sure way to have a lot of fun on a night on the Emerald Coast!
Live music: If you are looking to grab a bite to eat and catch some great live music then head on over to the Destin harbor! The Boathouse Oyster bar is Destin’s best-kept secret with live music daily and great drink specials. Heading down the harbor just a little ways more you will find Tailfins Waterfront Grill. This 3 story restaurant has a stage outside and on the 3rd floor, you will find some great entertainment on the main stage. Last but not least is Destin’s iconic local hangout AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar. They have live music outside daily and you can usually catch some great entertainment evenings either on the main stage or upstairs in Club Bimini.
