There is also FREE Live Music every Wednesday night from 7-9 pm at the Events Plaza Stage. Outside of that, enjoy the variety of bars and restaurants for dinner.
Beach Bonfire at Royal Palm Grille
Royal Palm Grille — Beach Bonfire from Silver Shade Studios.
Another fun spring break activity you may not get to do at home is to enjoy a bonfire on the beach. Every Friday night, all year long the Beach Bar at Royal Palm Grille has a FREE Beach Bonfire, beginning at sunset. Family-friendly, with smores available (while supplies last), drink specials, and food available inside the restaurant that can be delivered to you on the beach. Watch the sunset over the water while you show up early to grab your chairs.
Fudpuckers
There isn’t a more family-friendly spot in Destin than Fudpuckers Beachside Bar and Grill. Their Destin location has over 100 live alligators that you and your kids can pay to feed with fishing poles in an area they call Gator Beach. You can also hold a live alligator and have a photo taken for a small fee. Live alligator shows happen daily at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm, and following the final show the Fudnominal Interactive Dance Team takes the stage for a family-friendly show including dancing, singing, games, and fun for all ages. After the Fudnominals at 9 pm is the Family Fun Night, which consists of games like a scavenger hunt, musical chairs, limbo, and more.

HarborWalk Village
HarborWalk Village has a variety of shops, restaurants, and activities for all ages. Stroll through the shops, grab a cartoon souvenir from Cartoons by Deano, try our famous Wine Ice Cream from Wine-Not, the kids can get temporary tattoos, sign up for a Southern Star Dolphin Cruise, and try the Zipline, Freefall, and LED Wall! Outside of those fun activities, dine at one of the many restaurants or bars, and see if any live music is playing on their stage.
Thrills Laser Tag & Arcade
Thrills Laser Tag & Arcade located in the Seascape Towne Center and is all the fun that you need on spring break. It has all of the arcade games you could want and the laser tag makes it fun for all ages! Let them win all of the tickets they can and then they can pick out the prizes they want within their ticket limits. To top off the day have some ice cream at Moo-la-la Ice Cream & Fudge located inside of Thrills arcade.
Bike Rentals
A great way to see our area is through bike rentals from a Bikes R Us. There are tons of trails to trek down, winding back roads that lead into small-town center areas, and of course, taking them down to see our scenic hwy 30A. Stroll through Grayton, Seaside, and Watercolor areas that are known for bike trails and sightseeing. It’s an area of our gulf coast you won’t want to miss!
There are so many things to do along the Emerald Coast, you’ll have no trouble finding Spring Break Activities in Destin for your family. Part 1 of our series focused on water-related ideas, don’t forget to check out that one as well!
