Covid-19 Safety Procedures for Vacation Rentals on the Emerald Coast

COVID19safetyproceduresforVacationRentalsontheEmeraldCoast

With Covid-19 still looming, we just want to give our guests the reassurance that we are doing everything that we can to ensure your peace of mind while you travel this Summer season. While short-term rentals may have been shut down, we assure you our team has been working diligently to see how we can continue to provide a safe vacation for our owners and guests.

Below are some of the ways that we have implemented new cleaning & sanitation procedures for your safe travels to the Emerald Coast with Gibson Beach Rentals.

Protective Gear

To better combat COVID-19 while cleaning your rental, our cleaners and inspectors will be wearing masks and gloves to ensure your safety and theirs.

CDC Approved Cleaning Agents

At Gibson Beach Rentals, our cleaners are all equipped with the approved CDC cleaning agents that kill pathogens including Coronavirus and other bacteria. We pay attention to kill times and follow the directions located on the label to ensure the cleanliness of your vacation rental.

Bedding & Linen Sanitization

All of the linens will be sanitized prior to each arrival, which means we will make sure each bed is clean and guest-ready. We strip all sheets and bedding while wearing disposable gloves and do not shake dirty linens to minimize the spreading of germs in the air. A new set of pillowcases and sheets will be placed on each bed for the next arrival.

Social Distancing Recommendations when visiting the Emerald Coast

When the CDC gives the okay to begin traveling, and you are ready to head to the Emerald Coast, we want you to be as safe as possible while you are here. That is why we recommend the following safety precautions while visiting our beautiful resorts & beaches:

Practice Social Distancing –

When going out in public, it is best to keep 6ft of distance between you and others around you. The different stores and restaurants in the area have their own safety measures in place – just be sure to read the signage to ensure the safety of you and others around.

Wash your hands –

This is probably one of the best ways to try to ward off COVID-19. Make sure to wash your hands regularly, and this means to use hot water and soap and wash both hands entirely for at least 20 seconds. If you cannot get to a sink, you can use hand sanitizer, just make sure it contains at least 60% alcohol.

Avoid unnecessary touching –

It is best to unnecessarily touch your face including your eyes, nose, and mouth. This ensures if you have come into contact with the virus, you don’t get it into your system. If you feel you need to touch your face, make sure to wash your hands first.

Continue to clean your rental –

While our housekeeping teams complete our cleaning checklist before every arrival, it is still a best practice to continuously clean/ disinfect continuously touched surfaces. This includes countertops, doorknobs, light switches, tables, electronics, and sink faucets.

If you are planning to travel to the Emerald Coast once restrictions have been lifted, this includes both of our Okaloosa and Walton county locations, we want you to know that Gibson Beach Rentals is here for you.
