Things to Do With Kids In Baytowne Wharf

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is a small township style community on the Bayside of Sandestin Resort.  Filled with shopping, activities, restaurants and docks, there is always something to do with kids in Baytowne Wharf. Baytowne is a gated community, but is accessible by car or by the Sandestin Shuttle if you’re staying on property.

Baytowne Adventure Zone
One of the highlights of Baytowne Wharf for kids is the Baytowne Adventure Zone. Guests can soar across the lagoon on a zipline, test their balance and agility skills on the ropes course, or try the Tower Climb and Eurobungy. If none of those excite you, there is also a golf challenge and a Baytowne Tug. Hours vary by season and traffic on site, so check their website for the most up to date information.

Ice Cream Shop
Who doesn’t love a good ice cream cone? Baytowne Wharf offers traditional ice cream and desserts at MooLala, along with authentic gelato if that’s more your speed, at Pino Gelato. Waffle cones, cups, chocolate treats and more – What’s not to love? Plan to make a dessert stop before you leave!

Adventure Land Playground
A large sized wooden playground, it’s a great way to keep kids entertained for hours. The playground is fenced so you can easily eye your littles, and there is a seating area across from the entrance for parents. Kids can climb, swing and slide their way through this obstacle course, burning energy for hours.

Walk the Docks
Do your kids love boats and water? Take a trip down the docks at Sandestin Marina to see all the yachts and large fishing boats docked. The docks are connected to Baytowne Wharf through a back walkway, which is an adventure in itself. You could also grab a snack at Marina Bar & Grill that overlooks the docks and watch the boats drive in and out.

Baytowne Carousel
Straight out of a movie, the Baytowne Wharf carousel is picture perfect. From race cars and dragons to zebras and reindeer, let your child’s adventurous side come alive with the festive lights and music. Located in the heart of the township, this is a must do activity!

Blast Arcade and Laser Maze
A perfect rainy day activity, or just a fun way to escape the sun. The Blast Arcade and Laser Maze is filled with arcade style games and machines, where kids can compete to win tickets for prizes. Racing to basketball, Kids can compete through the Laser Maze by trying to make it to the back wall without breaking any lasers, to complete the mission.
