Vacationing in Florida means one thing – You want to see that view as often as possible! We understand this and to make it easy, we’ve compiled our list of the 6 Best Destin Restaurants with a view.
Royal Palm Grille
Located along scenic Hwy 98 in Miramar Beach, Royal Palm Grille has one of the best views you’ll find along our coastline. It’s nestled into the first level of Surfside Resort with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Pair that with the brand new deck they built out front AND their beach bar sitting right on the sand and you’ve got yourself a front row seat to the best sunsets in town. We recommend going Wednesday evenings for $3 off sushi rolls or Friday evenings for their free beach bonfires.
Harry T’s
For a little more action, check out Harry T’s Lighthouse in Harborwalk Village. The corner spot allows for a full view of the Destin bridge, as well as the channel in the Harbor. Sip a cocktail or feast on a seafood platter while watching the boats file in for the day and the sun setting behind Okaloosa Island.
790 on the Gulf
The expansive patio right outside their restaurant doors is one that can’t be overlooked. The unobstructed view of the beach and our Emerald Waters makes 790 on the Gulf one of our top choices. Located inside the Inn at Crystal Beach, stop by for bottomless champagne every day from 11-3pm and the arguably the best (and largest) selection of bourbon along the coast. What more could you ask for?
The Gulf on Okaloosa Island
Brand new to our area, you’ll head a little outside Destin to hit The Gulf on Okaloosa Island. It’s island vibes with white couches, palm trees and sand will give you the full Florida experience. Nestled in bay front next to Brooks Bridge, watch boat traffic back and forth while you relax comfortably with a cocktail. Bonus: The Gulf has a chalkboard menu that changes regularly so you can always try something new here.
LuLus
Another bay front restaurant, LuLus caters to families with their sand pit and games out back. We recommend sitting at the back bar outside where it feels like you’re right on the water. Anchor the boat and come on in for dinner while the sun sets behind Mid Bay bridge, a perfect photo opportunity.
Dewey Destin’s Bayside
Last but certainly least, Dewey Destin’s on the Bayside has been a staple in our Destin community for many, many years. There is a full dock you can pull up to by boat or a parking lot behind it to arrive by car. After you order some of their fresh, Gulf seafood, grab a table out towards the dock so you can watch the boat traffic cross back and forth while also enjoying a full view of Crab Island. The sun sets right behind Okaloosa Island, making this one of our favorite top spots to take in the view.
