In what could be called Scenic 98’s hidden gem, today we introduce you to Royal Palm Grille, one of our restaurant preferred partners. Hidden inside Surfside resort, Royal Palm Grille is a restaurant and bar featuring seafood, sushi, burgers and more.
First lets talk food – If you’re looking for a personal recommendation, the Fish Tacos are a huge local favorite. Beyond that, every Wednesday is Sushi night, where guests can enjoy $3 off their Signature sushi rolls from 5pm til close. After trying the Royal Palm Roll and Raider Roll, its easy to see why Arnel, their sushi chef, was nominated for Best in Destin.
If we haven’t sold you on the food yet, let’s talk about the view. Located on the 1st level, the restaurant’s main dining room has an obstructed view overlooking the Gulf. A new outdoor deck is being built, making a new main entrance off Scenic Hwy 98. Royal Palm Grille has plans to host brunch and of course offer lunch and dinner views available outside.
Another perk of this place is their Beach Bar. Nestled quietly in between Whale’s Tail and Surf Hut, the Beach Bar sits right on the sand. The main level has a full service bar serving up frozen cocktails, cold beer, soda and water. You can also order food from their kitchen to be delivered to the Beach Bar, making it an all in one stop. The Beach Bar is pet friendly and if you’re looking for a family friend activity, they host a free beach bonfire every Friday night, right on the sand. Chairs are provided on a first come, first service basis with cocktails, s’mores and food available to purchase. The fire starts at sunset so get there early to grab a drink and a seat – And keep in mind that no outside food or beverages allowed, but kids and pets are welcome.
And lastly, it wouldn’t be a bar without cocktails! Voted Best Happy Hour in Destin, specials happen daily from 4pm-6pm at the inside bar and beach bar. Take a sip of paradise with a Bahama Mama, or try something new with a Peach Moscow Mule. They’ve also got a variety of beers, including many local favorites from Destin Brewery. Combine that with the college football package, NFL package, and more, Royal Palm Grille has it all.
